Leadership Built Around Service and Accountability

Rainy Day is locally led by people who understand the technical work, the customer experience, and the responsibility that comes with entering someone’s home or business after property damage.

Josh Hopewell

Owner & Company Leadership

I am the founder and co-owner of Rainy Day Restoration and Roofing. I began learning the roofing business as a child while working alongside my dad and entered the industry professionally in 1997. After working as a licensed home inspector, I founded Rainy Day in 1999, initially providing roofing, gutters, and property inspections.

Over the years, we expanded into repairs and remodeling, added water damage restoration in 2013, and introduced licensed mold remediation in 2017. I have inspected thousands of properties throughout my career, giving me extensive experience identifying roofing failures, water intrusion, mold, and other complex property problems.

My wife, Jeni, and I have been married since 1996. We have three sons and three daughters and live in Bonham, Texas. I am active in local business organizations, community service, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

John Hopewell

Owner & Company Leadership

I am the co-owner of Rainy Day Restoration and Roofing and have spent more than 23 years helping homeowners and businesses recover from property damage. I founded Angelic Restoration and merged it with Rainy Day in 2013, bringing our companies together around a shared belief that restoration is about people first and buildings second.

Throughout my career, I have worked on thousands of residential and commercial projects involving water damage, mold remediation, structural drying, fire and smoke damage, odor removal, and large property losses.

I hold multiple IICRC certifications, including Water Restoration Technician, Applied Structural Drying Technician, Commercial Drying Specialist, Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician, and Odor Control Technician. I am also a licensed Texas Mold Remediation Contractor.

My goal on every project is to provide honest recommendations, clear communication, and quality work while helping our customers get their homes, businesses, and lives back to normal.
